The Shema prayer is the centerpiece of the Jewish soul. There is only Oneness in existence. That singular perfect infinity is the creator of everything and never ceases to care about you. God intimately and with endless loving kindness wants to give to each of his children. God is your father. As a Jew your father gave you a gift to be partners with him in his creation. He is always available, always accessible. We cover our eyes and speak the Shema knowing that we are not alone, and reassured that all in this life is for the good.
